The Churchill Square Experience in VR

Showcase Your Artwork in “The Churchill Square” VR Experience

Hello, my name is Ricardo Alonso Pina, a VR artist and designer with years of experience creating immersive digital spaces that bring art, storytelling, and technology together. My journey into virtual reality began during the 2019 pandemic when I discovered a passion for blending skills like 3D modeling, sound design, and music to craft interactive experiences.

Some of my previous projects include “Pejes Vs Zombies,” “Illuminati Simulator VR,” and “Learn Spanish VR”, which have been well-received on platforms like Steam. Now, I’m embarking on my most ambitious project yet: The Churchill Square, a VR experience recreating Edmonton’s iconic gathering place with 90% accuracy.

What Is “The Churchill Square”?

The Churchill Square is more than just a game—it’s a living, breathing virtual space designed to replicate the vibrant culture and dynamic atmosphere of Edmonton’s Churchill Square. In this multiplayer VR environment, up to four players can:

  • Climb interactive structures
  • Drive whimsical mini cars
  • Ride a charming mini train
  • Explore the square in incredible detail, including curated art displays

But it doesn’t stop at recreating the square. This space will feature contributions from artists of all disciplines—painters, sculptors, actors, dancers, singers, musicians, and beyond. Whether your work is visual, performance-based, or auditory, there’s a place for it in The Churchill Square VR.

Why Artists of All Kinds?

Creating a VR experience is a lot like making a movie—it takes the talent and expertise of creators from countless fields working together to bring a vision to life. Think of it this way:

  • Visual artists like painters, sculptors, and photographers provide the aesthetic elements that make the virtual world visually captivating.
  • Performing artists like actors, dancers, and singers bring energy, emotion, and movement to the space, making it feel alive and interactive.
  • Musicians and sound designers enhance the atmosphere, creating immersive soundscapes that elevate the experience.

Your contribution, no matter your discipline, will add a unique dimension to the project, enriching the experience for players and showcasing your talent in an innovative way.

Why Showcase Your Art in VR?

Virtual reality is transforming how audiences engage with art. Unlike traditional galleries or performances, VR creates an interactive and immersive environment, allowing viewers to connect with your work on a deeper level.

Here’s why being part of The Churchill Square is an opportunity you don’t want to miss:

  1. Reach a Global Audience
VR eliminates geographical barriers, giving people from all over the world access to your art, performances, or music.
  2. Immersive Art and Performance
Audiences won’t just see your work—they’ll experience it. Imagine viewers walking through your sculpture, interacting with your painting, or feeling like they’re on stage with you as you perform.
  3. Stand Out in a Crowded Market
Showcasing your talent in VR sets you apart as a visionary artist embracing cutting-edge technology.
  4. New Revenue Opportunities
Your participation in this project could lead to new avenues for licensing, commissions, and collaborations.
  5. Enhanced Exposure Through VR Events
“The Churchill Square” will host regular events within the virtual space, featuring curated exhibitions, performances, and live interactions that highlight participating artists.
